On the 8th day of 2016 Rio Olympic Games, China’s Duan Jingli took bronze medal of women’s single sculls final of Rowing. It made a significant breakthrough in China Rowing. The history of the Chinese rowing team in the Olympic women’s single sculls never won medals was rewritten by Duan Jingli.
Duan Jingli, born in 1989, is the leading athlete in the China women’s rowing team. She beated Zhang Xiuyun in the 12th National Games in Shenyang, won third place in the 2014 and 2015 World Championships. Duan Jingli entered the national team in 2011, but unfortunately missed out on the London Olympics due to issues surrounding training methods.
This time in Rio, She competed the Olympic medal for her first time and brought into play normally, took bronze medal of women’s single sculls final of Rowing in 7′ 24″13.
