  1. General Introduction of Ban Chang, Rayong, Thailand:

Ban Chang district is a city in the eastern of Thailand. The area originally was Tambon Phala of Mueang Rayong District. Neighboring districts are (from the west clockwise) Sattahip, Bang Lamung of Chonburi Province, Nikhom Phatthana and Mueang Rayong of Rayong Province. To the south is the Gulf of Thailand.

Ban Chang also features three beaches with Phala Beach to the west, Phayun Beach in the center and Nam Rin Beach on the eastern side of the district, with Nam Rin being the longer beach of the three. Coordinates: 12°43′42″N 101°3′59″E

The Asian Rowing U-19 & U-23 Championships will consist of the following

Junior Men : 1x, 2x, 2-, 4-, 4x

Junior Women : 1x, 2x, 2-, 4-, 4x

U-23 Men : 1x, 2x, 2-, 4-, 4x, Lw1x, Lw2x, Lw2-, Lw4x and Lw4 –

U-23 Women : 1x, 2x, 2-, 4-, 4x, Lw1x, Lw2x, Lw2-, Lw4x and Lw4 –

The Asian Rowing Masters Ragatta will consist of the following (Any Ages Categories)

Men : 1x, 2x, 2-, 4-, 4x

Women : 1x, 2x, 2-, 4-, 4x

Event Groupings:

The events will be divided into two Groups, A and B for scheduling purposes.

The Groups are as follows:

Teams are strongly advised not to make double-up entries for athletes or crews or share equipment in the same Group. Teams doing so, make such entries entirely at their own risk and no changes to the race schedule will be made to accommodate these entries.

Note: In case of, there are less than 6 MFs participating, the Championships will be cancelled.

2.5 Entries

Entry by number is due to 20 October 2023 and Final Entry by name is due by 20 November 2023 and must include the events to be entered, the total number of athletes in the team, and the number of officials accompanying the team.

The completed Final Entry must include all necessary information for each crew, including name with date of birth of each athlete, all team members and substitutes and officials.

Entry Forms Final Entries are attached to this Bulletin. These should be filled in and forwarded to the Organizing Committee, with a copy to ARF headquarters, by the stipulated date.

2.6 Weather

  1. Boats and Equipment

3.1 All boats and other equipment must comply with FISA Rules of Racing.

3.2 Participating teams will be encouraged to bring their own boats and oars if possible. All Nfs can contact to all FISA official boat suppilers for boats rental to participate the championships. OC may response only the competitions’s arrangement.

3.3 If you cannot bring your own boats, ARF and RCAT provide the partnerships for the boats rental. Please fill the Annex 3 (Boats and Oars Rental Form) and directly contact to the partnerships boat companies no later than 20 October 2023. After this date, there is no guarantee of boat availability.

– The boat rental charges for all partnerships boat companies:

Single scull (1x) 60 USD/boat/day
Double scull (2x) and Pair (2-) 70 USD/boat/day
Quadruple Scull (4x) and Four (4-) 80 USD/boat/day

  1. Oars rental

Each team is highly recommended to bring their own oars and sculls as the blades of all oars/sculls must be painted on both sides in the colors of the respective Federations. If you need to rent oars and sculls OC may prepare them at the rate $100/pair of scull, $120/pair of sweep, for whole event.

  1. Transportation:

OC arranges the round trip from airport – accommodation, local transportation from the venue to hotel and also turn during the event. The transportation fee is 80 USD per person(with or without oars). The transportations from official accommodation to the venue and return are included in the accommodation fee.

The both hotels will be the official hotel. OC prepares the fullboard meals and the transportations between the official hotel and the venue. The reservation must be made through OC only no later than 20 October 2023.

  1. Visa :

All visitors to Pattaya, Thailand require a visa except citizens of countries where an exemption has been granted. An Official Letter of Invitation will be sent via email to each National Federation. Do not delay in beginning your visa process. Official Letter of Invitation requests can be made to the Organizing Committee at visa@rcat.or.th

One invitation letter will be provided for the entire team. Please keep in mind that visa should be obtained before travelling to Thailand.

There are 57 countries that have bilateral treaties with Thailand and their nationalities are granted visa exemption. Under the Visa Exemption Program and Bilateral Agreements, there are 5 countries that are granted 90 days permit to stay and 52 countries are granted 45 days stay in Thailand.
