General Introduction of Nanchang, China:

Nanchang is the capital of Jiangxi Province. Nanchang locates in Lon 115°27′-116°35′ E, Lat 28°09′-29°11′ N, in the central north of Jiangxi Province, downstream of Ganjiang River and Fuhe River, near Poyang Lake, China’s largest freshwater. Nanchang is the prosperous backland of the Yangtze River, Pearl River Deltas and southeastern Fujian, which also makes it is a crucial comprehensive transportation hub in China and an important manufacturing base. In 2006, Nanchang was selected as one of The World’s Ten top-dynamic Cities by Newsweek magazine. And it is a world-famous skyscraper city with the honor ‘The capital of the future and green’.


Transportation:

The OC will arrange shuttles in between airport, hotels and venue during the event. Shuttle fee is 60 USD/person. Please fulfill and submit the Arrival & Departure Form to OC before 6th October 2020.

Visas:

Individuals from Asian countries require visa to enter China.  Such visas must be issued before travel, please refer to the following website for Chinese visa application requirements and procedures :

If you need invitation letter, Please fulfill and send Visa Application Form(attached) to OC.

Accreditation:

Umpires, Team Officials & Crews are all requested to email a passport photograph with Accreditation Form to OC.

Competition Date and Venue:

The 2020 Asian Rowing Junior Championship will be held in the Yaohu Lake International Water Sports Centre in Nanchang, China, from 21st to 25th October 2020.

Men: JM1X, JM2X, JM2-, JM4X, JM4-
Women: JW1X, JW2X, JW2-, JW4X, JW4-

For scheduling purposes, the events will be divided into two Groups,
Group A and Group B, to run on the same day in separate sessions.
The Groups are as follows:

Tips: Teams are strongly advised not to make double-up entries for athletes or crews or share equipment in the same group. Teams doing so make such entries entirely at their own risk and no changes to the race schedule will be allowed to accommodate these entries.

Entries:

Preliminary entry must be submitted by 6th September 2020. The Preliminary entry must include the events to be entered, the total number of athletes in the team, and the number of officials accompanying the team.

Final Entry must be submitted by 6th October 2020, which should include all necessary information for each crew, including name with date of birth of each athlete, all team members and substitutes and officials. Entry Forms for Preliminary and Final Entries are attached to this Bulletin, which should be filled in and forwarded to the OC before the stipulated date.

Boats and Oars Rental:

All boats and other equipment must comply with FISA Rules of Racing.

If NFs want to bring own boats by container, please indicate in preliminary entry form and contact with OC.

If NFs need to rent boats, please contact with official boat supplier, Hangzhou Qiandaohu Peisheng Boat Co.,Ltd, by 6th September 2020. After this date, there is no guarantee of boats availability.

A small amount of oars rental is available.

The boat rental charges for the whole duration of Championships are as follows:

Single sculls (1x) $180
Double sculls / Pair (2x / 2-) $240
Quadruple Sculls / Four(4x/4-) $330
$100/pair of sculls, $120/pair of sweeps

Tip: Please note that the rental deposit is $100/boat and $50/pair of sculls or sweeps.
