Huang Wenyi/ Pan Feihong win bronze in women’s double sculls

China’s Rowing Team finally get their first medal of 2016 Rio Olympics in Rowing events on Aug.12 2016. A Bronze medal of lightweight women’s double sculls final taken by Huang Wenyi and Pan Feihong.

These two Chinese girl had made a team since Guangzhou Asian Olympic games in 2010, and took the gold medal of lightweight women’s double sculls final in that game. 2012 in London, Huang wenyi and another Chinese experienced rowing athlete Xu Dongxiang, won a silver medal of lightweight women’s double sculls final which was China’s only medal of Rowing events in the 2012 Olympic games.
When talking about their coach Cao Mianying, Huang Wenyi and Pan Feihong had great compliments:
“Our coach Cao Mianying is a very good coach, she has participated in 7 games,  as an athlete played 3 games and as a coach played 4 games. Cao took a great control of the pre-match preparation and good rhythm in training. We trust her very much.”

These two Olympic rowing bronze medalist in the face of the media also admitted that this is their last Olympics. It is difficult for them to hold out until today. Because feihong stomach is not very good, she is hard to stick to the great physiological load of exercise training. Huang also had the waist and bronchus problem.

“Although we retired, there are still a lot of Chinese rowing rising star, won’t be worse than us. These is a lot hope in China Rowing.” Pan feihong said with confidence.
